District 6 Volunteers Pack 580 Meal Boxes
at the Angel's Depot!

NSDCAR District 6 members representing Vista and San Marcos, volunteered at the Angels Depot on August 10, helping pack meals for Seniors in need! The group packed 580 boxes in a two-hour time period! Thanks to all who participated, and special thanks to Kellee Sauter of Corinthian Title & Escrow, and Helen Krunglevich of Coldwell Banker for chairing this event and providing photos! District 6 Presents $1,155.50 Donation to Angel's Depot

District 6 Angel's Depot Community Service Project
Thirty-four District 6 members gathered on Tuesday, March 9 2010 to pack emergency food boxes for Seniors at the Angel's Depot warehouse.

Angel's Depot is a non-profit organization providing boxes of food to San Diego county senior citizens. Each month over 500 senior citizens who are in need receive "Senior food-for-a-week" Emergency Meal Boxes. From more information about this great organization visit www.theangelsdepot.org.

District 6 will be volunteering again in the future to this worthwhile effort. If you would like to participate, contact communityservice@nsdcar.com to sign-up for a shift.

District 6 Presents $895 to Operation Homefront
Coldwell Banker, Vista Matches Funds!

District 6 recently presented $895 to Operation Homefront, a non-profit organization benefiting military families. Each week during the charity drive, District 6 put out a call to members who were interested in matching the fund. Coldwell Banker's Vista Office, Susan Anderson responded and presented a check of matching funds for $1,000.

Cynthia Gronback of Operation Homefront explained to members exactly what Operation Homefront does for local military families. The services provided to military families by the organization meet the specific needs of military families including financial assistance, food household good and other services to families in need. An estimated one out of four homeless is a veteran. Great strides are being made through programs like Operation Homefront's housing initiatives and Wounded Warrior Wives program.
